Our History
South Carolina Pole and Piling, Inc. was founded in 1985 by Sam Coker to help supplement the supply of southern yellow pine poles and piling to the wood treating industry along the east coast of the United States. Sam’s 11 years of previous training and experience with Southern Wood Piedmont Company in pole procurement, including a pole mill start-up in Florida, were instrumental to his success. Today, Sam and his two sons, Hollis and Will, along with a very professional staff, produce high quality poles and piling throughout the eastern United States and Canada.
